Accounts Administrator

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing company and help it grow further into something amazing. We’re looking for a detail-oriented and responsible Accounts Administrator to join their team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation of accounts and business tax computations for clients from various industries together with assisting with preparation of VAT returns.
The accounts administrator will report to our Small Business Manager. This is a full-time permanent position.
Brief Job Description
* Responsible for the accurate preparation of accounts and tax computations for Limited Companies, Partnerships, and Sole Traders
* Applying knowledge of Companies Act requirements and tax legislation.
* Keep up to date with new relevant legislation and compliance.
* Pro actively liaise with HMRC and assist with technical enquiries when they arise.
* Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external contacts at all levels.
* Use own initiative to resolve issues.
Minimum Qualifications
Requirements for the role
* Minimum two years accounts preparation experience gained within a professional practice environment.
* CCH software experience is desirable however training will be given if the candidate has experience of similar recognised professional practice software.
* Demonstrates up to date knowledge of current Companies Act and business tax
* Excellent IT skills
* Excellent communication skills (both written and oral).
* Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure.
* Good numeracy skills.
* Demonstrates attention to detail and a high concern for accuracy.
* A good team player.
