Working for a market leading commercial cleaning company based in Bolton, this is a great opportunity to join them as an area manager.
IT IS ESSENTIAL YOU DRIVE & HOLD A CURRENT UK LICENCE for this role as you will be travelling to sites within the Lancashire area. You will be given a pool car to carry out your duties.

The role-
Weekly one to ones including setting individual targets for site supervisors.
Managing performance; ensuring each cleaner meets their targets of providing a quality service in a courteous and timely manner with all paperwork and documentation correctly filled out and passed in to Supervisor/Manager.
To provide full operational support to all cleaning staff and provide effective and efficient supervision to make sure all cleaning hours and tasks are undertaken.
Recruitment and training of new cleaning staff appropriate to the amount of work available and envisaged.
Induction training of cleaning staff: completed and documented.
On-going training and coaching of cleaning staff and supervisors.
Job allocation in a fair and organised manner.
To undertake regular site inspection whilst cleaning staff are in situ to ensure a quality service is being provided in the most safe and cost effective manner appropriate to the task.
To ensure all cleaning staff understand and work within all relevant guidelines including: Health and Safety, COSHH, Equal Opportunities and Safe Methods of Work.
To ensure all relevant cleaning staff paperwork is filed in an accurate and organised way including: contract of employment, holidays, sickness and absence, training provided forms, training needs analysis, appraisal documentation, DBS documentation and payroll reporting documentation.
To accurately record staff hours and hourly rates for payment to ensure employees are paid for the work undertaken at the correct hourly rate (or pro-rata hourly rate)
To performance manage cleaning staff and supervisors in an appropriate manner and to undertake disciplinary investigations where deemed necessary.
To ensure that cleaning staff are suitably dressed as required by the contract with correct uniform, identification and PPE relevant to the tasks being undertaken.
Ensuring each individual cleaning staff member is motivated and understands exactly what is expected of them on a daily basis and performs to the standard required of ourselves and the clients.
Client Management:
Efficient day to day client liaison and communication
To liaise fully with clients over cleaning schedules and timescales.
To actively promote the company at every opportunity to both existing and possible future clients in a business-like and professional manner and to identify new opportunities.
To accurately record and document all client complaints and issues and prioritise their resolution in a timely manner whilst communicating back to client at all junctures.
To undertake regular audit and site inspections with or without clients to ensure good client relationships and to promote a business-like and professional view of the company
All site inspections should be documented on the appropriate forms and kept in the site inspection file for reference (currently i-auditor).
To ensure client service level agreement is adhered to at all times.
Contract Management:
Effective and efficient documentation of contract, and contract performance evaluation
New business/clients – to ensure all visits, quotes are done so in a professional manner and all information and documentation the same.
Existing business/clients – to ensure cleaning quotes are provided in a business-like and professional manner and on the correct documents.
To co-ordinate all resources to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the cleaning business within agreed budgets and targets with regards to labour, equipment and materials.
To inspect and document all equipment relevant to the cleaning business on a regular basis including any vehicles, equipment and materials.
To update records and risk assessments with regards to cleaning sites on an annual basis.
To ensure no works are undertaken without the signed agreement of client with regards to contract or extra works notification.
Other Duties:
Liaise with all members of team including accounting, Senior Area Manager, Area Managers, Mobile Managers and General Manager to ensure cohesion between departments within the company.
Support management in all aspects of company business including holiday and absence cover
Undertake any other duties deemed relevant by line manager.
Ensure own and staff adherence to all Health and Safety legislation.
Ensure all processes and procedures are adhered to in a timely and efficient manner
